This project is located in Mauritania, Africa, providing an integrated power solution for local communication base stations. A total of seven equipment sets were installed. Due to the absence of grid support in the region, an off-grid system was adopted, combining photovoltaic power, energy storage, and diesel generators (a solar-storage-charging-diesel integrated system) to ensure stable operation of the base stations without grid connection.

Application

This project addresses power supply challenges for telecommunication base stations in Mauritania. It delivers a flexible, reliable energy solution in off-grid environments by integrating photovoltaic systems, energy storage batteries, and diesel generators.

 

Primary Equipment

Cabinet: Outdoor cabinet, dimensions 2000mm (H) x 1500mm (W) x 800mm (D), constructed from galvanized steel.

Temperature Control Equipment: Includes 4 fans (DC 48V) and an intelligent thermostat.

Battery System: Lithium iron phosphate batteries (48V/155200AH) with extended charge/discharge cycle life.

FSU Monitoring Unit: EMS-B2010 for energy management and monitoring.

Hybrid Power System: Includes power distribution frames, photovoltaic modules, rectifier modules, and PV distribution boxes, supporting switching between different power sources.

Photovoltaic System: Includes 6 PV modules and PV mounting structures, delivering high efficiency.

Diesel Generator: 16KW/20KVA outdoor silent intelligent diesel generator with smart control system.

Reliability: Utilizes an integrated photovoltaic-storage-charging-diesel design to ensure stable power supply, particularly in off-grid areas.

Flexibility: The system automatically switches power sources based on battery charge status, implementing an energy priority control strategy (PV > storage > generator).

Environmental Sustainability: Combining solar power generation with energy storage reduces reliance on traditional diesel generators, minimizing environmental pollution and energy consumption.

Intelligent Monitoring: Remote monitoring and management via the EMS system ensure efficient and stable system operation.
